Today I am so sick. I slept about 7 hours in the middle of the day on yesterday. Hardly ever sleep that deep. Usually I nod off and then recover. I sweat really bad. My left shoulder was killing me on yesterday. Felt like I had a full lung of water on Sunday. Wacky Wacky Wacky! On Saturday, I was too dizzy to drive home from tutoring. I called Irv Sr. to come and get me. THAT'S WHY I AM THANKFUL! I know a God who will heal me. I have a family who cares for me. If I am not feeling well, my son tutors for me, also. My nephew will come from Huntsville to West Limestone County to see about me. My mom inquires about my daily. That's what it take, a village to ensure my sanctity. I AM THANKFUL FOR MY LIFE! The ups and downs have been wonderful in shaping me.

THANKSGIVINGS FOR 13 DEC 2014:
I am so thankful all the people who are MARCHING FOR JUSTICE! Some say it won't make a difference. The ministers told Rev Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. the same thing. But he believed in a God and followed the urging of the Holy Spirit to bring to light atrocities that are occurring in this country. Unless you are the mother of the Black Boy, you can't imagine what we go through raising them. Even if they make mistakes, they are still human. The problem lies at the hands of those who do not help. It DOES take a village to raise a child. If you are not a part of the village, you are the problem. I have always done what I could to help others because I was driven by the Holy Spirit to act. It so easy to criticize than get involved. But I AM SO THANKFUL FOR A GOD WHO PROVIDED THE MEANS FOR ME TO HELP WHEN I COULD! But I truly have to pray because I have angst against those who criticize with no action. Pray for me sisters and brothers in Christ! I love you all!
THANKSGIVING FOR 12 DECEMBER 2014
I AM SO THANKFUL! For the first time in 8 years I was able to get out and shop for gifts for mt BOOBIES #1-5 at Christmas. Always had to send my family members because of my health. Thank you Jesus! I walked and walked! Glory! I am thankful for my baby sister (Jeanette Mitchell Lamb). She had two children to graduate this year: Rodney Lamb Jr on last Saturday from Athens State University (Athens, Al) and Javonna Lamb on tomorrow from Lamar University (Beaumont, Tx). She has worked so much overtime to support her children! GREAT JOB NETTE! She has four more in college. With her kids we get a Bar-B-Que EVERY YEAR for the next 4 years! I am so thankful for all college graduates who have persevered and fought the good fight! The future of America depends upon on our youth engaging themselves academically.

THANKSGIVING FOR 11 DECEMBER 2014:
I am so thankful today. Today was the end of the 2014 Fall Semester at Calhoun Community College. I served as a Part-Time Laboratory Assistant (Tutor). It was an enjoyable time! Meeting new people. Helping students succeed. Helping the academic light come on was so EXCITING. I thank God for my academic gift. Through all my health issues, I CAN help by being a tutor. As a tutor, I feel like I am God's servant. I am so thankful to be chosen to be used by God. I am thankful that I am doing GREAT physically, mentally, spiritually:
40 years since being diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (in remission since 2003);
30 years since birth of the son I was told I would never have, being had Lupus;
25 years since diagnosis of Lupus Kidney Disease;
5 years after diagnosis with colon cancer (and no chemo or radiation needed - GLORY!);
2 years after starting dialysis!
I thank God for this journey.
From the words of MINISTER MALCOLM SPEED: When I look back over my life, and I think things over, I can truly say that God has made a way, I'VE GOT A TESTIMONY!!!!!!

THANKSGIVING FOR 9 DECEMBER 2014:
I am so thankful! Have a lot to be thankful for. Life is a gift. The longer I live I love my gift. I unwrap my gift each day and see what I have received. I experience all the events of my life as if they are the best gift in the world! As if this gift of life is the last I will receive. I praise God everyday for the people he brings into my life. The wonderful people who enhance my life are energetic and life giving. The people who are less wonderful are opportunities to test my patience and love. No matter what a person does we are commanded by Jesus to Love them. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. I watch all happening on TV and wonder if all Love those they disagree with. It is disheartening to see the hate spewed out of the mouths of people who declare they Christians. We have a higher calling to love. So I am thankful that I can give unconditional love in spite of my faults. Thank you Jesus for loving for me and showing me my wicked ways that I must correct!

THANKSGIVING FOR 4 DECEMBER 2014:
I am so thankful for the ability to use my faculties. I am thankful for in my right mind. Thankful for food and a roof over my head. I do not take any of this for granite. I know of the homeless out in the cold tonight. I know of the hungry with no food to eat. I know of the mentally ill left to walk the street. I know of those who have lost all hope. I know of those struggling financially. I know of those caught in a web of drugs. I know of those who need a healing of their body. I know of those who want a better job to take care of them and their families. But, I also know of a Jesus who will have mercy on each. He will ensure their needs are met. I know that it may not be on our time. But he will show up and take care of them. I know of the Holy Spirit who will comfort them while they traverse their trials. I pray for them daily. I thank God for the miracles he has already done and will do in the future.
THANKSGIVING!
THANKFUL!
I am thankful for having VISIONARY people in my life! To see the will of God and to be willing to move out in accordance with his word! I am so thankful to be back to work at Calhoun after the break. My passion is tutoring! Glory!
THANKSGIVING 3 DEC 2014: So thankful for the journey, the challenges conquered, the tough spiritual muscles developed, and so much more!

THANKSGIVING FOR 29 NOV 2014:
After seeing all the people on Facebook having babies, I am thankful to the Lord for putting my Lupus in remission as I carried my Love, Irvin Lee Isbell Jr! I know it was God because when I carried him home my Lupus went into a terrible flare. But God saw fit to give me the strength to care for him. I attended 99% of his events and was kept by God to cheer for him. NO matter how sick I was he gave me strength to help him with homework and guide him. I am so thankful for my son. He is so compassionate. I am thankful for the times he lotioned my feet as an elementary kid. I am thankful as a middle schooler this kid helped cooked when I was sick, even as a high schooler. I am so thankful as a high schooler he met me every night to help me out of my car upon return from work. This boy's daddy worked the 3-11 shift and he was the man of the house for that time: putting out the garbage, locking windows and windows, engaging the alarm, etc. I AM SO THANKFUL! I am thankful for my husband, who as a boyfriend, attended my Lupus meetings. He was a college student but cared enough to learn about the disease. I am thankful that when it was time to marry, he attended Pre-Cana classes, required for Catholic marriages, while we were in college, one year in advance of our marriage. He also attended the 6 months marriage counseling sessions required before marriage. I AM SO THANKFUL! This man has taken care of me throughout all my illnesses. He even speaks for me when I can't speak for myself. I am thankful that he does my dialysis. I am thankful to have my own private duty nurse. THANK YOU JESUS! I AM THANKFUL!

THANKSGIVING FOR 28 NOV 2014.
I am thankful for a day of rest and reflection. Thankful that I can walk on my own, think clearly, and eat. I do not take these for granite. The times without these abilities make (demand) me appreciate them. I am so thankful for the gift of healing that flows from my belief and patience. Glory be to the name of the Lord! I am most thankful for the activists in our communities helping those less fortunate. Their compassion propel me to continue doing what I can do. I am thankful for the teachers who do consider their jobs as a ministry. They give all of themselves to ensure the success of our kids. I am thankful for the police who do great jobs in our communities. I was one of those children who benefited from a community program by the Beaumont Texas Police Department. I am thankful for the pastors, ministers, evangelists, teachers, etc. who listen to the word of God and moves out at his directions, no matter how hard. I am so thankful for single moms who try to fill the two roles in the family while working two to three jobs. They do their best with all exhaustion and still bear criticism with dignity. I am so thank for the dads who MAN UP and do their jobs, also working multiple jobs to provide for their families. I am truly thankful for friends who are ride or die friends. They chastise when need, encourage me when I'm down, cheer me on when I'm up and pray for me daily. LOVE YOU ALL. I HAVE A LOT TO BE THANKFUL FOR!

Donald Lawrence & The Tri-City Singers - Encourage Yourself http://youtu.be/JbEaftzaFWA
This song is so true. Sometimes the burdens of life are too much and we need to ENCOURAGE OURSELVES.
I encourage myself by thinking of all the things God has done for me and the things he has brought me through.
I know I could have not made it thus far, but God has brought me a mighty long way

2 Corinthians 4: 17-18 "For our light and momentary troubles
are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen,
since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
KJV – King James Version
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Amazing Grace Lyrics
John Newton (1725-1807)
Stanza 6 anon.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
When we've been here ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

MY THOUGHTS - SATURDAY, 08-02-2014
Wow! I have not written on my blogs for awhile.
Time for me to get a routine.
Lots going on in North Alabama.
Education systems all messed up!
Huntsville City Schools is fighting desegregation laws.
Ministers fighting the wrong battle!
So busy fighting being disrespected than trying to setup GED prep programs for those in their congregants.
Lord have mercy!
I am so sick and tired meetings and arguing that lead to nothing positive and productive.
That's why I don't go!
Have really joined the t-shirt society as a retiree!
Really have no desire to dress up any more.
Must admit in 2007, the new environment threw me into a dressy pants and tops modes.
No more two-piece suits, just for meetings.
No they are official in the back bedroom.
Not wearing anytime soon.
I have spent a lot of time trying to get a part-time job.
Want to work, but short hours.
I just don't want the daily grind.
hahahaa hahahahah ahahahahah
Calhoun CC on many occasions.
Limestone County Schools
Want to get my 5th year Education Masters, but you have to have a district request you.
So sent my name to 4 districts, no bites. UGGGHHHH!
Probably only save that for their full-time employees.
I will have start over and do another Bachelors degree.
Have to take the -olgies: Biology, Sociology, Philosophy, etc. hah ahahahahha hahahaha
I AM SLOWING DOWN.
I have worked numerous hours tutoring.
Searching for additional work to help the students.
Ensuring they get everything in on time.
It has been exhausting!
But, I have learned that I have to be a Moses as he was instructed Jethro!
Absolutely tooooo busy!!!!!
ALL FOR NOW!
JMI
